IN / OUT / NEAR
After you click a provisioned boundary feature or Apply a drawn fence, the map classifies each report marker:
| Group | Meaning |
|---|---|
| IN | Inside the polygon |
| OUTSIDE | Outside the polygon |
| NEAR | Outside but within a configurable distance (e.g. miles) |
The status bar shows counts for each group. Send to Flow passes the corresponding ID lists.

Draw fence (free)
Section titled “Draw fence (free)”Without an API key, use Draw fence on OpenStreetMap to define any polygon—same classification and Flow handoff. Try this first in Quick Start §7.
Click layer (paid)
Section titled “Click layer (paid)”With a provisioned service, click features on the hosted map for point-in-polygon classification over your markers. Configure overlay after completing the free Quick Start—GIS API Salesforce setup — Step 7.
